Open call: Malý Berlín ×  E75 ART BUS

Would you like to go on an artist residency in Norway, Finland, Poland or Greece? Take part in an open call in which 9 artists from different European countries will be selected.

You will also get to experience an unusual adventure! The works created during the residency will be presented on a journey across Europe with more than twenty stops.

Who is the residency for?

  • For artists from different artistic fields (media art, light art, sound art, performance art, live art, community art, site-specific, environmental art),
  • the project is open to professional artists from all countries along the route – Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, North Macedonia, Greece,
  • an artist cannot apply for a residency in his/her home country.

Length of residency:
6 weeks to 2 months – depending on your choice of residency.

What does the residency offer?

  • A stipend of at least €1,500 per month,
  • the provision and reimbursement of accommodation,
  • reimbursement of travel expenses,
  • the opportunity to travel around Europe (participation in the E75 ART BUS)
  • many contacts and potential collaborations.

Places of residency:

  • You can choose from 9 different residency centres in 5 countries,
  • You can apply for more than one place, but you cannot apply for a place in your home country.

E75 Art Bus

The E75 Art Bus is a 5,639-kilometre-long art journey on the E75 across Europe. It will start in Vardø, Norway and end in Siteia, Crete, Greece.

The actual art journey along the European route of the E75 will take place between April and May 2026. New artworks created as part of the project will be experienced along the route and on the bus. Key to the project are residencies for nine different artists in nine different locations.

During the six-week journey, events will take place at more than 20 stops as well as on the bus itself. The Art Bus journey will begin on 9 April 2026 in Oulu, Finland, and continue via Helsinki, Kaunas, Trencin, Trnava, Budapest, Novi Sad, Skopje, Thessaloniki, Elefsina and Athens, from where the Art Bus will take a ferry to Crete on 24 April, arriving in Chania, Heraklion and Sitia. It will be possible to complete all or part of the journey and the bus will take the participants back along the same route.
