Studied graphic design at high school. During his studies he moved away from the graphic environment and began to develop in the medium of painting. He continued his studies at the Belarusian Academy of Arts in Minsk. As Seraphim himself says, he is working hard and concentrated to become an independent artist.
The goal of the residency
“I think for every artist the residency is always a new experience, where the artist is in unusual conditions and can almost immerse himself in the work on the projects. Also for me the goal is to work a lot and to open up to a new place, a new culture. Another goal was to experiment in my process of creating art, I cannot say that it is completely finished, but of course it was interesting. So I’m really happy to have had these experiences and I’m completely satisfied!”
What did the residency provide you and why would you recommend it to others?
“I didn’t really expect it to be as ideal as it is. I have a big art studio and a big apartment; these are conditions I couldn’t even imagine! And of course, I have such responsive colleagues and community here, who always help me with whatever I need! I would like to say thank you for everything and everyone!”
